The High Kingdom of Alenreic, nowadays known as Old Alenreic, was a former realm and remains a region of Borost. Nowadays almost wholly unpopulated, many members of Mankind made their residence here in the days before Ythred's War.
History[edit | edit source]
Ythred's War[edit | edit source]
The High Kingdom was dismantled by the advancing Dwaerkar armies following its defeat in Ythred's War.
Present[edit | edit source]
The Ban of Alenreic prohibits the resettlement of Alenreic by humans. The country remains largely unpopulated and abandoned, and is one of the principal avenues through which the Serpent-folk enter Borost in the Invasions.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Formerly, Alenreic was a fertile and productive land, full of cascading rivers and lowlands.
Nowadays, Alenreic has been occupied by bogs and marshes, almost certainly the result of purposefully deleterious Dwaerkar engineering projects, including dams and canals. This area is now known as both Old Alenreic and the Northern Marshes.
