Animals are living creatures of an intelligence lower than that of any person or other humanoid. They cannot speak and have no magic abilities. There are many different types of animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, arthropods and fish. While most animals are mundane, some possess certain striking characteristics, such as size or ancient features.

Certain species of animals have been domesticated and became an integral part of civilization. Such species are essentially ubiquitous across Telamon.
