The Leyan tribes, also known as the Coldblood tribes, are realms of Borost. For the sake of simplicity, the tribes are often separated into the Northern Tribes and Southern Tribes.

Several aggrupations of Leyan tribes, occasionally Leykar (Ley-kind), but usually known to outsiders as Coldblood tribes, inhabit some of the forests of southern Borost. Outsiders often categorize them by their location as the Northern and Southern Ley. The Leyan tribes, as the name indicates, are composed primarily of the Leyan peoples: the Lizard-folk and the [[Borost:Skinks|Skinks].

The Leyan tribes are particularly neutral about the wider affairs of the peninsula, and have only rarely participated in the many events that have shaped its geopolitical development. In addition, they are quite self-contained and sustainable; they are believed to have inhabited their current territories for many millennia.

The tribes generally live in small villages and cities scattered throughout the forest, and tend to be unfriendly towards strangers. Nevertheless, they happily engage in commerce with "warmbloods."

The two primary collections of coldblood tribes in Borost are located north and south of the Tridian range, respectively. For this reason, they are generally known as the northern and the southern Ley.

Northern Ley[edit | edit source]

The Northern Ley (northern people) are an assortment of tribes that inhabit the lands to the north of the Tridian range. Some of the tribes in this area include: the Veler Ley, Alaren Ley, and Glannen Ley.

Southern Ley[edit | edit source]

The Southern Ley (southern people) are an assortment of tribes that inhabit the lands to the south of the Tridian range. Some of the tribes in this area are: the Clarenn Ley, Tredener Ley, Praaner Ley, and Felleren Ley.
