Finkrath

Finkrath is an old great red dragon who resides at the molten core of Mount Gavakar, the great volcano at the center of the country of Eryliana. Holding a tremendous grudge towards the local elves for reasons they cannot understand, he is determined to see their capital of Dragonsthrone reduced to ashes, making use of armies of kobolds and fire drakes to see it done.

History

Finkrath's past is unknown to all but him and his consort, Telsanaroth. However, something early in his life caused him to harbor a deep hatred for all humanoids in Eryliana. With the arrival and establishment of the elves who would later become the ashen folk, the red dragon unleashed his fury upon them over the years, leading to armies of loyal kobolds and drakes to attack the elves seemingly unprovoked, with an almost single-minded desire to burn their capital of Dragonsthrone to the ground. Luckily for the elves, it appears something in the capital itself impedes Finkrath from approaching it, though they are not sure what.

Features

Finkrath is a great red wyrm of immense size, even more so than other elder dragons of his kind. He is considered an awe-inspiring sight, as his massive wingspan is described by the elves as big enough to cover the skies above their heads whenever they encounter him. He also possesses a long scar across his left eye, though the circumstances of how he got it are unknown.

Holding an intense hatred for the ashen elves, Finkrath would like nothing more than to reduce their civilization to ashes, though the elves remain oblivious of what they did to incur the great wyrm's wrath. He relishes in their destruction and often uses magic to watch his forces fight them, so that he may see them die by his actions. His contempt appears to extend to all other humanoids save for those who pledge their allegiance to him, as he is also known to attack other folks when it strikes his fancy.
