Fire Elementals (Firmament)

Fire Elementals, sometimes called Pure Fire Elementals to distinguish them from other fire-based outsiders, are the most basic form of life in the Plane of Fire.

Biology[edit | edit source]

A Fire Elemental resembles a blazing flame. They naturally have no defined shape, but most elementals choose to take the form of specific creatures who best fit their needs and personalities; most prefer taking intimidating appearances. The size of a fire elemental depends of its age, and as they are immortal, they can reach great sizes.

Ecology[edit | edit source]

Fire Elementals are the main inhabitants of the Plane of Fire, which they share with other fire-aligned outsiders who are similar to themselves. When found in Telamon, they prefer inhabiting volcanoes and subterranean magma rivers.

Society[edit | edit source]

Fire Elementals are frickle and temperamental creatures who see any intruder in their territory as potential fuel for their flame. They generally live in small groups who share the same hunting grounds. While difficult, they can be appeased by humanoids to leave them be or to work alongside them, though Fire Elementals are generally distrustful of "flesh-born" race.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

As beings of pure fire, Fire Elementals are dangerous opponents, as their high temperature may harm others from sher proximity alone. Their malleable forms allow them great dexterity and grant them protection against non-magical forms of damage. However, they are particularly vulnerable to water-based magic.
