Imps (Firmament)

From Bestiary of the Hypogriph

Template:Creature

Imps are among the weakest, but most prolific of all demons who inhabit the realm of Irkalla.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Imps are tiny humanoid fiends with a pair of horns, pointed ears and crooked sharp teeth. Their skin comes in several shades of red, brown, blue, black and purple. Their legs end in hooves like that of a goat, a furry tail trails behind them and a small pair of bat-like wings sprouts from their backs. The average Imp is 0,5m tall and weights 5 kg.

Ecology[edit | edit source]

Imps exist in huge swarms across Irkalla and are quick to spread to any place where demonic presence is known to exist.

Society[edit | edit source]

Imps are mischievous, cruel and cowardly creatures who delight in causing torment. They often work in gangs to compensate for their individual weaknesses, pranking and bullying other creatures to satisfy their tiny egos. Imps are the most common type of evil outsider to be taken as a familiar by mortal spellcasters, and they tend to serve their masters in the hope of taking their souls when they finally expire in order to barter it for a greater position in the hierarchy of demonkind.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Imps are weak and pitiful creatures in combat, though they do possess a natural affinity with fire, allowing them to throw small fireballs from their hands. They are most commonly used as spies and scouts, using magic to shapeshift into small vermin or inanimate objects in order to gather information for their more powerful masters.
