Protectors of the Living[edit | edit source]
A common form of post mortem life stage is a Guardian Spirit, ironically this is usually of a kind to defend against exploitation by Fertility Spirits of the offspring. It also may be used to sway things subtly in the favor of the offspring. Predators have guardian spirits that weaken prey, prey have Guardian Spirits that counteract predator spirits or attack predators.
