Shenryundi

Template:Deity Shenryundi is the god of peace, wisdom and the skies, who is among the greatest forces of good in the Firmament. He is the patron of all Royal True Wyrms.

Appearance

Shenryundi is usually depicted as a Royal True Wyrm of titanic length. His scales are made of pure platinum, and his head is adorned with a pair of immense antlers which resemble leafless trees. A white patch of fur covers most of his underbite and trails across his back all the way to his tail, which is shaped like a seven-branched blade.

History

According to certain draconic legends, Shenryundi is among the oldest of all gods and had a hand in the creation of the realm of Ziana, breathing the realm into existence and creating the first Royal True Wyrms from strands of his great beard.

There is evidence found in Primordial ruins that Shenryundi was involved in the Great Gap as one of the gods who fought Varagarash Narahil, leading to his eventually imprisonment at the Abyssal End. Such tales describe a massive serpent made of silver who breathed rays of good which burned away at the World Worm's flesh.

Realm

Shenryundi resides in the Tian Peaks, the tallest mountains of Ziana. There, he coils his body around the peaks, where he remains in silent contemplation and meditation. Angels or outsiders who wish to climb the Peaks generally use Shenryundi's colossal body as a staircase, something the god has no trouble with.

Personality

One of the most empathic of all gods, Shenryundi believes peace to be the final objective to be achieved in existence. He values wisdom and respects those who work hard to achieve it, but looks down on tricksters and cheaters. The god admits to being biased towards those of more venerable age, but still holds respect to younger beings who achieve greatness.

Relationships

Shenryundi considers himself allies with all good gods and all archangels, and most treat the feeling as mutual. He often discusses philosophy with Aldirei during times of peace, and is fascinated by the crafts produced by Skasdrumri. He is in good terms with Kami and pities not being able to socialize with Siivhahzin, believing his hatred to be misguided.

Cult of Shenryundi

Worship of Shenryundi is concentrated in the continent of Khiiratsuna, where he is the patron god of the nation of ???. Worship of the Lord of the Western Winds is, unsurprisingly, also practiced by his Royal True Wyrm children, as well as many good-aligned outsiders. While pockets of worship exist in the other continents of Telamon, they are generally a minority.

A number of Kobold tribes associated with Royal True Wyrms worship Shenryundi as their patron. Such tribes are usually well behaved and allied with their local humanoid neighbours.
