Space In-Between (Firmament)
The Space In-Between, also known as the Ethereal Plane or the Transitional Realms, is the name given to the magical space separating the planes of existence from one another.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Space In-Between is an ethereal, infinite and incorporeal realm of emptiness and pure, raw magical energies. Most of it is made up of empty space, though certain locations hold physical structures where creatures congregate. The Space In-Between is fundamental in existence, for it stops the Material Plane, Elemental Plane, Ziana, Underworld and Irkalla from colliding, always giving them enough space to grow.
Inhabitants[edit | edit source]
Innumerable outsiders, unaligned with any greater planes, are native to the Space In-Between. There, these creatures live their equivalent of normal lives.
The Space In-Between is the first stop for planar travellers. Creatures who wish to travel to other planes must pass through the Space In-Between to do so, leading it to be constantly travelled by powerful spellcasters, elementals, angels, demons and psychopomps.
The Ether Wyrms are the True Wyrms native to the Space In-Between.
Places of interest[edit | edit source]
While normally devoid of true locations, the Space In-Between holds in it a number of notable smaller planes.
- Drassalion - The afterlife of the Elves, ruled by the tumultuous Elven Pantheon.
- Heart of Creation - Located at the very center of all there is lies the abode of Aether.
- Infinite Abode - The ambulatory and elusive realm of Infinitum.
