Strerderimm is the Dwarven god of death, fate and judgement, who serves as a member of the Dwarven Pantheon.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Strerderimm is depicted as a particularly aged Dwarf shrouded with a tattered cloak, who uses a cane to walk. This cloak is marked with many runes, each being a word for 'death' or 'afterlife'.

History[edit | edit source]

According to the Dwarven myths, Strerderimm taught the first generation of Dwarves about mortality and death, teaching them about funeral rites and ensuring a life of exceptional behavior would be rewarded with paradise.

Realm[edit | edit source]

Like the rest of their pantheon, Strerderimm resides in the Forge of Worlds, the realm of Skasdrumri in Ziana. There he welcomes those considered worthy of a paradise into Ziana, collaborating with representatives of the Underworld to do so. Those judged unworthy are left to wander the wastes of the Underworld, while wicked and evil Dwarves are punished by Strerderimm by being sent to Irkalla.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Strerderimm is described as a quiet and reclusive deity who spends the majority of his time in deep contemplation. He often leaves the Forge of Worlds to visit the River Styx in order to study the intricacies of death and afterlife, meaning he spends long periods of time away from his family.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Strerderimm is the younger brother of Reimdorlig and older brother of Varmumli, and he is always available to provide advice and guidance to his sister and her husband Skasdrumri whenever needed. He has no strong feelings for his sister's children, believing them to not be of his concern. Through his association of the Underworld, he has become an ally of Dominus Mortis and other gods of death who follow his directive.

Cult of Strerderimm[edit | edit source]

The clergy of Strerderimm is responsible for the funeral rites of the Dwarven clans, as they consider such subjects of particular importance; leaving a body to carelessly rot away is considered an offense not just to the deceased, but to the entire clan. Like other churches dedicated to death gods, they abhor the undead and consider their destruction a holy duty.
