Thea Nee´hara

From Bestiary of the Hypogriph

The loving caretaker of dreams, who protects all she holds dear with the might of the shield...
— Zianan Passage, describing Thea Nee'hara

Thea Nee'hara is the archangel of protection, fairness and pleasant dreams.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Thea Nee'hara resembles a female, blue-skinned humanoid, similar to an Elf or Human, with a pair of extremely long twintails which reach all the way to her feet. She has a short, furry tail like that of a lagomorph and is surrounded by an aura of gold and white light.

History[edit | edit source]

Realm[edit | edit source]

Thea Nee'hara's realm is named the Chosen's Rest, where those who earned the deity's favour spend eternity in calm, pleasant slumber.

Personality[edit | edit source]

A serene and gentle entity, Thea Nee'hara is described by her followers as a motherly figure, constantly encouraging them to live their lives to the fullest but always to take caution in order to stay out of danger. She abhors violence and rarely initiates combat of her own volition, but she is quick to come to the aid of those who need it.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Thea Nee'hara is a friend of most other archangels, as well as an ally of all good gods. She considers Aldirei a role model, and the two take much pleasant in each other's company. She is opposed to the demon lord Shurin Rodin due to his association with nightmares.

Cult of Thea Nee'hara[edit | edit source]

Thea Nee'hara's following is relatively obscure in the mortal world, with few dedicating themselves to her exclusively. Those who do are often family folk or guardsmen, who prey for the angelic deity for protection for their loved ones. Priests of the archangel have a peculiar affinity with lagomorphs, with rabbits being particularly favored among her clerics. Those who follow Thea Nee'hara almost always become proficient with shield combat, for it allows them not just to protect themselves but also those who they hold dear.
