Varmumli is the Dwarven god of travels, roads and guidance, who is a member of the Dwarven Pantheon.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Vermumli is depicted as an androgynous Dwarven figure, wearing typical travellers' clothing, which includes a characteristic compass and backpack. They attract the attention of birds and is usually described as having a sparrow on their shoulder.

History[edit | edit source]

According to the Dwarven myths, Varmumli taught the first generation of Dwarves how to travel the world safely and offered guidance in what would lead to the construction of the great subterranean tunnels known as the Underway.

Realm[edit | edit source]

Like the rest of their pantheon, Vermumli resides in the Forge of Worlds, the realm of Skasdrumri in Ziana. There, they watch over the roads of the celestial Dwarven cities and fortresses built around the Great Creator's lair.

Personality[edit | edit source]

A quiet and serene deity, Varmumli generally keeps to their own devices, keeping an eye on their followers to ensure they do not stray from their paths. They are content to spend much of their time in deep, silent contemplation, meditating on their spheres and the mortal Dwarves who become intertwined with them.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Varmumli is the younger sibling of Reimdorlig and Strerderimm, offering advice to them and Skasdrumri whenever requested. They do not get along too well with their nephew Breldikig, considering him brash and reckless, and finds Hurgrih intimidating. Their niece Miludir is considered their best friend, and they find Voniana Theevrolde endearing.

Cult of Varmunmli[edit | edit source]

Priests of Varmumli travel the roads of Khargrimnir, offering directions and guidance to travellers both literal and metaphorical; many come seeking their knowledge when under distress, and the servants of the god do their best to aid them.
